Ronnie Byaruhanga serves on the Advisory Board of KARA International, motivated by a firsthand encounter with the realities that bring young girls into KARA’s care. He has visited the home that shelters girls 14 years and below whom are survivors of sexual violence, often at the hands of close family members. While the home itself is a place of warmth, dignity, and safety, it was the circumstances that forced these girls there, and the trauma they carry, that compelled Ronnie to commit himself to the mission.

Based in Dallas, Texas, Ronnie focuses on diaspora engagement and community-driven impact. He brings professional experience in data science, artificial intelligence, and algorithmic systems, alongside entrepreneurship and investment. He firmly believes that access to data and information is not a luxury, but a prerequisite for accountability, economic advancement, and effective advocacy. In his view, leaders bear a responsibility to ensure their communities are informed, empowered, and equipped to shape their own futures.
